Key Oil Sands Company Selects Net Safety Solutions
Micro-Watt Controls Devices Ltd, Net Safety's representative for Western Canada, was successful in supplying a large number of Millennium series infrared combustible gas detectors, H2S gas detectors, and several dual sensor ultraviolet/infrared flame detectors to a senior independent oil and gas producer with a massive heavy oil upgrading facility being constructed in the oil sands area of Alberta.
The portion of the facility that this equipment will be installed is known as a Froth plant, which is an essential step in the process used to extract bitumen from oil sands. The contract also includes on-site commissioning of the gas and flame detection equipment.
Net Safety equipment was chosen for this project because the customer realized the success of NSM
equipment installed in other facilities in the rugged Northern Alberta climate. Temperature extremes
can range from +40°C in the summer to -50°C in the winter.

UAE Project Picks Net Safety
A UAE oil company has ordered 83 Millennium Infrared combustible gas detectors, as well as two UV/IR Flame detectors for a major oil field.
The field can produce 730,000 barrels of oil a day, and includes gas and water injection facilities.

Large Gas Distribution Company in Eastern Canada Chooses Net Safety
After several months of using the Net Safety LEL catalytic bead gas detector, this distribution company found that the unit had minimal drift relative to its competitors. The power on/off switch and test jacks were also key components in switching to Net Safety.
This decision will displace current General Monitors equipment in the facility.
Representatives from Net Safety visited the site to conduct instrumentation training and commissioning to some key staff members.

Iranian Petrochemical Corporation chooses Net Safety for New Complex
Net Safety is supplying over 180 dual sensor ultraviolet/infrared flame detectors and catalytic bead combustible gas detectors to be used in every section of the plant.
The company will be installing most of the detectors immediately, while the balance will be used as spares.

Michigan LNG Plant Chooses Net Safety
A LNG facility in Michigan, USA, has standardized on Net-Safety's UV/IR detectors and the Millennium series catalytic bead gas detector for their combustible gas applications.
The engineering company involved said their client did not even want to go out to tender.
Using the Net-Safety equipment for other U.S. and Canadian installations, they found the equipment both durable, reliable and had market leading warranties. Aftermarket service in regards to readily available parts and technical support were also considerations in their selection.

Net Safety Provides Mining Solution
A large mine in Northern Ontario was having premature sensor failures in a S02 application, as their 0-200ppm sensor was being saturated with S02 levels exceeding 400ppm.
Working with Synergy Controls, the mine's maintenance group and NSM Sales and Engineering groups, Net Safety designed a gas detector that would exceed their application requirements in only 8 weeks. This resulted in an additional order for other gas detectors.
Net Safety is committed in providing "solutions" to the unique challenges in the market place.
NSM's technical support was also a consideration in their selection.

Low-Power Breakthrough
Net Safety was approached by a major gas distribution company, who needed a large number of fixed point gas detectors that consumed very little power. What's more, they needed these detectors in six weeks to meet their field site requirements.
Net Safety's engineering and manufacturing department was assigned the task and they met the challenge.
Under incredible time constraints, they designed and manufactured the world's first Low Power Gas Detector, (Millennium Series) that draws as little as 32mA of power.
The Millennium is manufactured with solid state relays, has the ability to dim the display and switch off the 4-20mA output circuitry.
The Low Power version is available for both combustible and toxic gases.
