NET SAFETY MONITORING WINS MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY'S 2008 BEST EMPLOYER AWARD - 12.01.08
The Calgary Manufacturing Action Committee (MAC), in conjunction with the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT),
the Calgary Economic Development Committee and the Alberta Ministry or Employment, Immigration and Industry, have awarded
Net Safety Monitoring with the honour of Calgary Manufacturing Industry's 2008 Best Employer. The award was presented at
the Deans' Reception as part of Manufacturing Week at SAIT Polytechnic in Calgary, Alberta.
One of Calgary's best kept secrets is its vibrant and critical manufacturing industry. Many, if not most Calgarians are
unaware that the manufacturing industry is an interesting place to work with many career opportunities.
This contest is intended to raise awareness of, and promote the manufacturing industry as a desirable and viable career
opportunity. The intent is to also provide the forum for sharing of best practices amongst participants during the roll
out of the award winners. The contest focuses on business practices that create progressive, safe and innovative environments.
