Phoenix Triple IR Flame Detector Released - 02.25.05
Net Safety Monitoring introduces Phoenix, the new standard in triple IR Flame
Detectors. The Phoenix uses three state-of-the-art infrared sensors, coupled with Net Safety's proprietary Automatic Digital
Zoom technology, to quickly and accurately respond to radiation emitted by hydrocarbon based fires. By alarming only
when data from all three IR sensors corresponds to its specified flame criteria, the Phoenix is able to deliver unparalleled
false alarm immunity.
Net Safety's proprietary Automatic Digital Zoom technology uses advanced sensor gain algorithms, individually programmed
for each of the three IR sensors, to analyze a defined IR range. The Phoenix can immediately lock onto the specified
wavelength spectra of a fire and optimize the sensor output level. This allows the Phoenix to avoid saturation by close range
fires or distractions from other heat sources and improves its ability to reliably detect distant fires while virtually eliminating
false alarms.
In addition, the Phoenix has user adjustable sensitivity and time delay settings to customize detector response to meet a
variety of site requirements and activities. Immune to black body radiation, lightning, arc welding and sunlight, the Phoenix
can be installed indoors or outdoors. Multi-coloured, high intensity LEDs clearly indicate any fault or alarm activity and
are visible in all lighting conditions.
The Phoenix has an independent watchdog timer to continually monitor internal electronics and assure fail-safe operation
and the detector automatically tests the entire optical path to ensure visual integrity. The Phoenix is available with analog,
relay or digital output configurations. A flexible cable assembly and adjustable swivel mount are included to simplify
installation.
The Phoenix is housed in a rugged, explosion-proof housing and meets Class I, Division 1 requirements for hazardous
locations. International approvals include CSA, Factory Mutual performance certified for fire alarm systems, CE Marking,
and ATEX certification is pending.
Net Safety's Phoenix extends detection range and delivers faster response times over conventional single IR, UV/IR or UV
detectors. For high-risk industrial applications requiring the greatest false alarm immunity possible and reliable detection at
distances up to 250 feet, Net Safety's Phoenix Triple IR flame detector can't be beat.
