POSITION: MATERIALS CLERK

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Materials Manager the incumbent is responsible for the day to day co-
ordination of all inventory tasks, ownership of the secondary operation activities, and
ensuring the stock room layout and operation can support the NSM production
department.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the stockroom layout is conducive to efficiently handling receipts and issues of parts
- Perform cycle counts on inventory using ABC classification and investigate discrepancies to determine root cause and rectify accordingly.
- Material distribution from receipt to owner.
- Investigate negative inventories and advise the Materials Manager of the investigation results.

POSITION: SUPPLY CHAIN ADMINISTRATOR

Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Administrator is responsible for the collation, data entry and analysis of
Operations production and throughput data. The position reports to the Materials Manager or
designate as assigned and is required to liaise with production staff for the collection of the
required production data. The position requires a sound working knowledge of MS Excel
including the use of pivot tables.
Responsibilities:
- On receipt of the hardcopy Sales orders from Inside sales, the Supply Chain Administrator is to produce the work order from Navision.
- Enter the sales order and work order numbers into the Production Schedule spreadsheet and provide the hardcopy of the sales order and production order number to the production manager for scheduling.
- Liaise with the production staff to determine the start dates for production orders and ensure that consumptions are done when production orders are started.
- On completion of the production orders ensure that all outputs, serial number entries are done in Navision.
- On completion of outputs give inside sales a hard copy of the Completed work orders, sales orders, complete with serial numbers where applicable.
- Participate in Kanban activities to ensure shop floor levels are maintained.
- Head the cycle count process using ABC classification and investigate discrepancies to determine root cause and rectify accordingly.
- Record time taken to complete work orders and compare this data in to the scheduled time. The result of this comparison will be an updated and accurate process tact time.
- Conduct a comparison between the production through put and forecast capacity to provide input to the forecast review committee.
- Maintain documentation of any processes that are used to complete the duties.
- Potentially this position will have the scope to expand to include analysis of the production processes used within the production facility.
- Potentially this position will be responsible for initiating and controlling the scheduling module of Navision should we purchase the licenses.
