POSITION: Payroll / HR Coordinator
Location: Calgary, AB
This position is responsible for the preparation and administration of Payroll and Benefits and for providing
confidential administrative support within the Human Resources Department. This position reports to the Senior Human Resources Advisor.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Payroll Administration
- Administer semi-monthly payroll for salaried and hourly employees; includes receiving, verifying and processing payroll input documentation, auditing payroll processing reports for errors, processing payments and completing payroll journal entries
- Prepare termination packages including benefit termination information, explanation of final pay, ROE, etc.
- Answer payroll and benefits related inquiries and make changes to employee information
- Reconcile deductions and remittances between CRA and payroll
- Complete Stats Canada business payroll survey as required
- Complete T4’s and year end reconciliations
- Record and report employee time and attendance data (i.e. vacation days, sick days, etc.)
- Prepare pay period, month-end, and ad-hoc reports as required
- Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefits, including employee health spending account, insured group benefits, health and dental benefits, provincial health care group plan, and group RRSP program (enrolments, changes and terminations)
- Reconcile monthly benefits plan statements, verifying that information is accurate and correct on payroll, and process journal entries
- Human Resources Administration and Reporting
- Maintain employee personnel files, employee databases and company organizational chart
- Staffing and recruitment support, including new hire approvals, assisting with the preparation of job descriptions, job postings, advertising, coordination of interviews, preparation of employment offers and candidate follow-up as required
- Coordinate and participate in the new employee orientation and sign on process
- Worker’s Compensation and Short Term/Long Term Disability claims administration
- Maintain training and development records and coordinate employee training as required
- Provide HR administrative support, including preparation of reports, spreadsheets, letters, and presentations and coordination /completion of office tasks such as copying and filing
- General
- General Administration support, including reception backup, as required
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy of information and reconciliation of data across systems (payroll, benefits, and employee files)
- Comply with and participates in the continuous improvement of the Company’s Health & Safety programs, Quality Systems, and lean enterprise initiatives
- Any other related responsibilities not detailed here but that could be reasonably expected
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years related payroll and benefits experience, including year-end processing
- Experience using Ceridian is preferred
- Experience working in a professional and confidential capacity
Education:
- Enrolment in or completion of CPA level 1 is preferred

POSITION: Product Specialist
Location: Calgary, AB
We are looking for a technically sound individual with hands on field experience able to work in a fast paced environment.
The Product Specialist role is an exciting opportunity, the perfect fit for someone looking to build and develop their career

Our Product Specialists work with our worldwide sales team, including representatives, distributors, customers, and end users
to provide technical and application support on our products. It is a blended role of support and service, which requires
a unique individual who has a deep understanding and passion for instrumentation products and marketing – as well as strong
interpersonal skills.
Instrumentation and field experience will be looked upon favorably. Specific knowledge of Net Safety products is a plus
and working with end-users or customers in a service or support role is also a definite asset. Net Safety Product Specialists
most often work with over the phone or via email to troubleshoot or walk end users through the operation, installation, and
application of our products, and also create feature requests for our development team.
Responsibilities:

- Work with Product Manager to: Improve products technically, monitor competitor organizations, and assist with new product designs
- Support sales inquiries by interfacing with engineering
- Provide technical support to our sales force, representatives, distributors, and customers.
- Provide afterhours technical support as required
- Resolve warranty issues and coordinate returns with representatives, distributors, and customers
- Provide feedback to organization on customer needs and applications not currently provided
- Prepare and/or assist with product launch materials/manuals/literature
- Coordinate and deliver technical product presentations
- Complies with and participates in the continuous improvement of the Company’s Health & Safety programs, Quality Systems, and lean enterprise initiatives
Experience:
- 2 years hands-on experience working with instrumentation products.
- A solid understanding of instrumentation technology as it relates to hazardous locations.
- Field experience with Net Safety flame and gas detection products is an asset.
- Experience in producing technical reports and/or documents is an asset.
- Customer service and sales experience is an asset.
Education:
- Degree or diploma in Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.

POSITION: Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

- Specify, design, verify and validate new electronic designs for gas and flame detection systems.
- Identify and implement software technologies that advance the functionality and quality of our products.
- Identify and propose new technology for product concepts and improvements.
- Develop and implement software management systems applicable to Net Safety's product and associated certifications.

Experience:
- At least fifteen years demonstrated experience in designing embedded systems on at least one major platform (ARM, X-Scale, TI, Atmel, Microchip, Freescale).
- Demonstrated expertise for design for industrial environments, including distributed control systems (DCS) or programmable logic controllers (PLC) and networks for industrial and/or instrumentation systems, including, but not exclusive to, Ethernet and IP development.
- Experience in the development of highly reliable software systems and methodologies for avionics, certified systems where software reliability must be documented and proven.
Education:
- A B.Sc or M.Sc in electronic or computer engineering
Core Competencies:
- Expert experience in developing embedded software architectures and systems to meet business requirements and strategy.
- Previous project experience required in guiding, supervising and leading teams in the development and delivery of software.

The purpose of the Shipper Receiver is to verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. POSITION: Financial Accountant/Analyst
Location: Calgary, AB
Primary responsibility is the planning and execution of the accounting and finance activities for the company
including financial reporting, credit management, treasury, cashflow and budgeting.
